Your friendly kiwi hosts Kelvin and Marion Riordan live at Ataahua
year-round, and are very much a part of the Golden Bay community. They have
strong family connections to the Bay going back nearly a hundred years. An
important part of the Riordan family history has been preserved in the
recently restored Riordan Hut in Kahurangi National Park, originally built
by Kelvin's father in 1926.
Marion and Kelvin have a great knowledge of the local wildlife and
landscape. They are happy to help with suggestions on fun activities and
scenic bush walks in the area.
You are welcome to use the double kayak in the boathouse to explore the surrounding bay area or go fishing.
